My mother gave this watch to my father on their wedding day in 1959. My father was a professional baseball player at the time. He crushed the crystal in a game when he forgot to take it off before playing. It went in a drawer for 35 years. I was searching for something at my parents house when I was a young man and found this. I had it redone and I've had it in my rotation ever since. The most precious watch I have. Everything other than the crystal is original. Handwind Elgin from '59.

That's a fantastic history!

How's the bracelet held together?

I didn't realize the expandable bracelets went back that far -- I'm surprised all of the bits and pieces are still in it after half a century.
