Baume & Mercier 18K Ladies watch ONE OWNER
California
$1388.88 Plus $25 shipping
FOR SALE: Baume & Mercier 18K Ladies watch ONE OWNER: its been in my safe deposit box ever since 1987.
I'm guessing this is from the 70s but it could be from the 60s
engraved on the case back "CWW" . The numbers on the case back are 363508 and 36643 on the clasp it is marked 750 and BMG. a report was written by a jeweler. It reads: "Ladys yellow gold stamped 750 Baume & Mercier Seventeen jewel mechanical watch. The watch has a white face with black roman numerals. Total weight without movement is 47.51 grams".
The jewelry in 1987 estimated the replacement value of this watch for Insurance purposes as $6890.00.....
It runs, I put it on my cheap time graph and the amplitude is low just over 200 and S/D was like -2 S/D, I dont remember the beat error and I think the VPH was 21,600 no idea what the lift angle was so I set it at 50.
The value of the Gold alone is $1500 and I'm hoping there is a Lady or Gentlemen out there who would like to add this to there collection.
The dial has some raised dots in the white enamel from age and some chipping around the edge of the enamel dial, The crystal is Plexi . these flaws need either a 10X loupe or very good eyes to see the 2 chips at the edge of the enamel. There are scratches on the plexi crystal that reflect on the dial, I think these could be polished out by a pro.
The Gold itself is in near mint condition with no visible damage. I tell you all this to be as transparent as possible.
There are two positions on the clasp so it could fit a 6 1/4 to 6 1/2 inch wrist. I think 6 1/2 would be little tight so I would figure a wrist just slightly smaller.
I will check if I need High Value sale approval and Comply.
