What’s up everyone?
A friend of mine is selling his datejust. What would be a fair price for me to pay for it and for him to sell it? It is an early 90’s all stainless steel model. It was gifted to him from his father and nothing was done to it besides an aftermarket movement. How much does the aftermarket movement affect the price? Any input is helpful. Thank you all in advanced.

The price goes down dramaticly
So in fact you just pay for the case itself
Is there a Gen bracelet as well?

Everything is gen except movement and date indicator. Bracelet, case, crown, dial are all gen. What should I expect to pay? Maybe 2800 usd? Or is that too much?

You have a reference number? I would say around $2500 at the most to be honest.

I believe it is a 16220. So 2500$ usd would be a good price? And that is max? So I should probably pay around 1800-2200$ damn. I didn’t realize the movement was the only value in that model. They sell for around 4500-5k all original.

Thank you guys, I didn’t make the purchase. And after a lot of reading up on it, I realized the money is in the movement. Appreciate all the responses.

He sold it already, but it was replaced with a sh3135 movement. Apparently something broke in the original and Rolex wanted a shit ton of money to replace it. Don’t know all the details but that was what I was told.
