Purchased this on vacation after longing for an Airman for awhile.

When I returned home I wore it for 1 week before deciding that I wanted a version of the Airman a little truer to the original but not so dainty as the original at 36mm. I ended up purchasing the Airman No. 1 Purist at 40mm which I like more.

I’m past the return window so up it goes. The leather strap is brand new, I wore the watch on a NATO for 1 week.

Purchased for $695 through AD. Warranty card comes unsigned etc, etc.

I don't, sorry, and I don't want to unbox it. Type "Base 22 wrist shots" on Google. There's also a GMT model but it's basically the same watch except not a true 24 hour dial.

Not really IMO, I think it wears comparable to any other 42mm watch.

I was thinking you said it was a 36mm, so therefore I thought it looked larger than I would have expected.
So, yes now that I have been enlightened.... looks like a 42mm.

My description was confusing. I liked the new model which was truer to the original Airman, but instead of 36mm it is 40mm.

The Base 22 is 42mm.
