Hi, Gang! AND welcome to Humpday!! Today is special because it's a rare "two-fer" day: the presenting of two different watches worn during the whole day/evening. First up is this old TISSOT PRC200 I purchased years ago and have rarely worn; I've kept it because I was intrigued by its yellow hands; but through the day I grew bored with it, then tried on this 36mm blue dialed ROLEX DATEJUST I had been lusting after for quite a while (i.e. a blue dialed DJ). Purchased from a good mate over on RWG, which included a spare jubilee bracelet and DJ case, as the crystal on the existing DJ has a chip around the 11 position and some scratches on the cyclops --both of which will supply me some opportunities to address later on. I like the 36mm blue DJ; it looks great! dave;

Hiya, Gang! Happy PAMSDAY!!
Today, just one of my fav. Pams went for a ride on the 'ole wrist: four-liner Pam w/ sandwich dial; don't know the model number and have given up trying to learn the dizzying amount of different model numbers. All I know is I love this piece, which has a decent lume. dave.

Big boy passed through town.... largest steam locomotive in the world.
Thats pretty cool and brings back memories, i didn't know any of those locomotives were still running. I went to Scranton University 30 years ago (man I'm getting old LOL), and remember seeing one of those in Steamtown back in the day.

Hiya, Mates!
I must confess to abusing your vision tonight with this newly acquired ROLEX GMT-MASTER II SPRITE I was influenced to buy through the words and actions of mates on several watch sites. I was curious about it so I boldly purchased one; after a 2.5 weeks journey it arrived at the 'ole homestead. It was packaged solidly, wrapped in plastic, of course. The watch itself construction wise isn't too shabby: the case is solid and lacks sharp edges; the bezel insert is aluminum but cut to look like ceramic; the jubilee bracelet is chinsy -- not solid -- with the links held together with micro-screws -- some of which were VERY DIFFICULT to remove to size the bracelet for my wrist. The inner "circle" inside the case (can't think of the word) is engraved & possesses a serial number; crystal has the small etched crown at the 6 position & the cyclops/date window are small but typical of some GATE Rolexes; the watch winds very smoothly and has a great power reserve (which I forgot to measure). The watch & bracelet weigh in at 135 grams, and the flip "hatch" on the "thing" (sorry, again, for a bad memory kicking up) has a nicely attached crown. I know some mates do not like it, but for a small amount (ca $75), you get a decent watch that keeps great time. dave:

Hi, Gang!

I must apologize for the terrible word selections contained within the text of this post. They're something that strikes often and renders me kind of inarticulate. I blame it on the brain surgery to remove a tumor & these incidents are part of the territory that goes with the surgery's effects on me. There's not much I can do except plow ahead and try to keep a sense of humor. At least I KNOW WHO I AM most of the time!!! heh!

You're not alone, mate. I was a history professor at LACKAWANNA (JUNIOR) COLLEGE and had many of my history classes go to STEAMTOWN to do research on who BIG BOY was and on the history of railroading in NEPA. I've climbed all over the BIG BOY (X4012) on static display to my heart's content (and wasn't caught by th Park Rangers); and, like you, didn't know some of these massive beauties were still in operation!!
