Welcome, Welcome, Welcome! ( a tribute to John Oliver) ("Last Week Tonight")
Tuesday sees the appearance of an old INVICTA reliable: their homage to the ROLEX EXPLORER II, with a fully adjustable, independent GMT hand. (Model # 9401) It's one of the beauties Invicta is able to produce (aside from their gigantic, ostentatious monsters for which are infamously known). I still marvel how the Brand is able to get away with copying Rolex originals (uh, NOT that I mind, as the household treasury can not purchase these high cost Rolex models). It looks great on the wrist, performs its GMT duty very accurately, has an improved date window cyclops and is an all-around rugged watch (after slamming it into several door frames and car doors today (klutzy days today.) Just a decent daily beater. (Uh, yes, there's a smudge on the crystal between 7 and 8; used a polishing cloth but obviously missed a spot. Damn old eyes!! Sorry. dave:

Hi, Gang! Welcome to the New week (and of the month, at that). Sometimes forces beyond my control/reason take possession of me and FORCE ME to purchase a watch. That said: meet the WRIST ARMOR U.S. AIR FORCE Submariner (quartz), with metal alloys for the case and bracelet; the case back IS s/s & watch has a "Japan movement." Haven't pulled off the case back yet to check. Has mineral glass for crystal & a tight bezel requiring a firm hand. Watch measures 47mm x 12mm and tips the scale at 147 grams. We'll see how it goes over the next several days. AND, yes, I'm a veteran of the USAF. dave

Just in, this Contrail from microbrand Nodus out of LA. These guys have the vision/execution thing down pat. Such a nicely done watch, with top notch customer service - and check out that unique sand dial...

HHMMMMM.... . I don't know what happened to the text and the rest of the pics, so I'll try a RE-DO here:

This is normally a Happy Pamsday event. But, having just learned the bad news about RWG icon TITS MCGEE, I'm not very happy night now. Prayers and lighted candles go out to him. PAM full dial with sandwich numerals on a soft chocolate strap -- an unusual configuration for a Panerai dave:
