I think we have a very exciting year ahead.
o yeah. if all these rumors come true, gonna be a huge step forward in the rolex rep game.

unfortunately, there are going to be steps back in the rolex franken game since new parts are going to be put on lockdown.

I think it is new movements which will make the biggest advances in the Rep world for the next few years. It has always been restricted by available movements and that is changing.

I think the IWC Portofino is definitely NWBIG. Steel on both, same dial on both and the genuine caliber is a modified ETA 2892 (well, not much modified) whereas the rep comes with an Asian 2892. Both water resistant up to 30m so you have practically the same watch. Not worth the £3000 if you ask me.

Sorry if duplicate but a few I think are spot on without a loop ootb also:
TC V, 6, 7/7x LN
TC FD YM 16622
JF New No Rehaut LN
DJ II simple dials
Wm9 YM 16622
Sean 16610LN
Wm9 16610LN 1&2
Noob deep sea sea dweller v7
Iwc Portuguese chrono new ZF thin case releases in SS
Iwc Ingy Blue LSFGF
JF V2J and V2I AP 15400
Noob polar explorer II chs
PF/MKF/BP V1 Patek Nautilus
BP Rolex DJ
BP 16600 Sea Dweller (BPSD)
More will come to me randomly.

More importantly a quick guide to the gens not to spend money on in gen (except if there’s a strap but a real croc strap):

Rolex Submariner 16610
Rolex Explorer II Polar
Rolex Sea Dweller 16600
Many iterations of Rolex Date Just
AP 15400 base
Patek Nautilus base
Vacheron Overseas base
Panerai anything but anthracite dial or forged carbon
AP SS Diver
IWC Ingy Blue LSFGF
IWC SS Portuguese Chrono
Blancpain Fifty Fathkms Sport SS base

If any of the above interest you, do some research or ask anyone here for help understanding. For buying look at TD section. All TD’s are a personal preference not one is best. Just pick one and build a relationship :)

IIRC there are two of these, you mean the 1955 one right? I keep hearing that noob doesn't make them anymore... so if anyone wants one, better hurry! I know I've advised people to get one in the past and their QC pictures have looked like old rejects.

Hi all, does anyone know if the cartier tank is NWBIG? There is a new version out from ZF and the gen is quartz too

Edit: thats the watch: https://www.intime02.co/cartier/4679-tank-solo-ladies-28mm-ss-zf-1-1-best-edition-white-dial-on-black-leather-strap-ronda-quartz.html
I would say so.
Some more recent Cartier have in house movements, there are some high end models with some complications. Most however are very repable (is that even a word) Interestingly all of the cabochons used in Cartier crowns are synthetic, just like the reps.

I would add a few too...
ARF Rolex SD43
GF/Noob Breitling Superocean II 44
GF Breitling Avenger 2 GMT
Yes th SD43 is bloody amazing. I sold all my noob rollies once I got the ARF SD43. It just is amazing finish as an overall package. Particularly with Xtal, dial, insert, sels and bracelet. It's a winner.. hands down.

can you recommend me a good replacement strap for the tank? Preferably below USD100...

I would say so.

thank you this one looks nice! I already feared that the strap would cost me more than the watch itself - seems to be true :)
Often the case That's because the strap is gen and the watch is rep. Console yourself with the thought that the new gen strap waiting to go on my Parmigiani Hemispheres cost me £1250 !
