Do share what you have done on this puppy!!
Glad to! TW Best base with a Swiss ETA 2836-2.

I added:
Gen Dial with nice tritium patina
Gen 18k Rolex Bezel (heavy 6 grams)
Gen 18k Rolex crown
Gen Stem
Gen Tudor hands
Gen Day and Date Wheels (still in progress)
Gen sapphire xtal

Other:
I had a custom dial holder made to accept the gen dial feet
I had the clasp micro-welded to snap like gen
I also had a jeweler polish the bracelet and case to get the color as close to gen spec as possible

Is that a 36 or a 40? The 36 yg bezels I've seen for sale are usually 3-4 grams.

Great questions! It's a 36mm. The 5-digit 18238 18k bezels normally range from 3-5.4ish in weight.

The 6-digit 118238 18k 36mm bezels can weigh a bit more depending on the purity ( I'd recommend .750 or better) I realized from talking with many eBay sellers since most don't list the weight. I bought one similar to this:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Bezel-yellow-gold-18kt-Rolex-Daydate-Datejust-116233-118238-118138-116238-new/131586291550?epid=1164422295&hash=item1ea327775e:g:lusAAOSw-0xYYuza

or this:

https://www.chrono24.com/rolex/bezel-rolex-day-date--datejust-36mm-yellow-gold-fluted-original-factory-bezel--id4578033.htm

Although the price is much higher, adding a gram to a watch like this makes it feel much more gen on the wrist IMO. I'll need to double check with my modder but I believe this one was right around 6ish grams. What I do know is it took me a few months to source one that I liked.

1803 are great but can be a pain if you have to set the day as it's only a single quickset (but I am sure you already knew that). I travel a lot so having a double quickset saves me a ton of time. If I ever went gen it would be a 18038.

What an incredible piece of art you have there. Truly a part of rep history. Even with the latest BP releases none tend to have actual gold in them like the TW does. Stunning piece!
