I finally received all parts I ordered for another 5513 build, pics of the parts here, result later (I work on it when I have time and am in the mood :))
I'm going for the same look as the one I sold a few weeks ago, if any it will be even less aged as that one

cool project, looking forward to see the finished result! :)
Hi M. !
Sent the 7928 to the watch guy for a service, getting it back this week.
This will obviously never be as good as tripdog's work, but I'm doing my best :)

Hi ! Regarding the aging .. Believe it is not mandatory to age like mad, indeed! After all, many gen 5513 I see look good, not scratched, sometimes with a "patined" dial or hands, but unless the watch did two tours in Vietnam, it is not battered the way some rep projects are ... each to his liking of course, only my opinion !
Look forward to admire the result of your project ..

Thank you P.
We definitely agree on the aging part :)

Edit:
Just saw a 'battered' 5513 built by kilowattore one thread up, I must say it looks just awesome.
I guess aging these heavily is not mandatory indeed but the watch can get away both ways with ease.
As you say, to each his own, that's what makes these vintage watches so versatile :)

Yes, saw that one also ... it's interesting but too many scratches for my taste .. as Kilo said it's a version much more aged than those he does usually .. I, personally, prefer the latter ones !
